I grew up believing that to be a Christian meant building a spiritual resume in which God would look at and be very impressed. God would then accept me or "hire" me based upon how I performed spiritually. When I arrived at Samford University in 1999, God used His word and Campus Outreach to obliterate that kind of thinking. For the first time I saw that sin was bad because it was against a holy and loving Father, which drove me to the throne of God's grace. Jesus’ record and performance was my only hope of being reconciled to God. That's when Jesus became my Life. During my time at Samford, God also showed me how vital discipleship, life-on-life ministry, and evangelism is. Because God used Campus Outreach so much in my life, I decided to come on staff!
