I grew up as the “good kid.” I was always striving to be perfect in obeying my parents, doing the right things, and comparing myself to other people. It became a burden to be perfect over time. I also found my identity in football because it brought happiness to my heart. In high school, I lost my starting position sophomore year and my world was wrecked. My football chaplain invited me and my teammates over his house for my bible study. The Lord showed me how broken and sinful I have been through his word. I surrendered my life to Christ and found that Jesus lives in us. He showed me guaranteed citizenship in his kingdom. Now, I have an everlasting joy in Christ impacting others around me. Praise God! Campus Outreach gives me the opportunity to grow and share this great news of Jesus to others.
