Although I grew up in the church since birth, my understanding of being a faithful Christian was one who lived by a checklist of doing good things and staying away from the bad. It wasn't until Summer Beach Project after my sophomore year at Samford University that God showed me that my salvation was not contingent upon any of my works, but rather, it was solely based on grace and faith in Jesus' death and resurrection. It was at that point that my entire focus on life shifted from being "me-centric" to being centered around Christ.
As a broadcast journalism major, I have always had a passion for media, but God has given me a heart for ministry. My role here with Campus Outreach is a perfect blend of both of these things that God has given me a drive to do.
