I grew up with a very self righteous heart inside of a little girl who thought she did no wrong. When I knew all of the bible stories, spiritual answers, and had perfected praying out loud, I felt like my sin wasn't even sin in comparison to others. Ephesians 2:8-9 says "For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. " By the grace of God, my eyes were opened to the truth of the gospel at a young age. God finally showed me that even on my absolute best day, I would still fall short of his perfect standard, and I was in need of a savior and I was awful at being my own Lord.

In college, God continually deepened my understanding of the gospel and has transformed my heart to live in light of it. The Lord has used the ministry of Campus Outreach to stretch me in ways I felt like I couldn't be stretched, to trust in the creator of universe, and to remind me that my purpose on this earth above anything else is to glorify God in all I do and make Him known everywhere I go.
