From the time I was young, I strived to be the “good girl.”  I longed for those around me to praise my good image. Since I was praised for my good image, I believed God would praise me for it too. However, striving to maintain that standard was impossible. To maintain this image, I began to hide my brokenness from those around me.  My freshman year of college, the Lord slowly revealed to me the depths of my sin and brokenness by exposing it. Through involvement in Campus Outreach, I began to learn that before a holy God, I had no way of ever being “good” on my own.  It was during that season that the Lord saved me and clothed me in the righteousness of Christ as my new identity. Now, I am eager to share this good news of hope I have experienced about salvation through Jesus Christ!
