I became a Christian at the age of 6. My Sunday School teacher had presented the Gospel, and I went home and asked my parents about it. I remember sitting at our kitchen table and praying to receive Christ that same day. Obviously at the age of 6 there wasn’t a dramatic change in my life, but I definitely believe that it was a true conversion. I was very blessed to have Christian parents and to attend Briarwood Presbyterian Church and school through the 12th grade. Many would say that I had a very sheltered life and looking back I would agree, but I am very grateful for that. I had many years to develop a foundation and grow in my faith. That was so important when I went off to college and was exposed to some very new and different individuals, world views, temptations, etc. Those years are when I learned what it meant to have a personal relationship with God.
