I grew up attending church and reading the Bible but fully believed that I had to work hard to make myself acceptable before God. This heavy burden of chasing salvation weighed on me until someone on staff with Campus Outreach shared the truth of the Gospel with me that Christ already completed the work of salvation on the cross and that it is a free gift to be accepted with repentance and faith. That night God opened my eyes to the severity of my sin and the goodness of his grace and called me to Himself. Since that day God has grown in me a love for Him and His word and a passion for making His name known on the college campus. I'm super excited to share with others the good news of God's grace toward sinners and the freedom that can be found in the Gospel!
Most of my life has been spent trying to earn God’s love through obedience and works. Stuck in a cycle of trying and failing, I was exhausted by the guilt and shame that followed closely behind. By reading scripture, God opened my eyes to my sin and allowed me to feel the weight of the separation it put between me and God. I repented of my sin and put my faith and trust in Jesus’ redemptive work on the cross. He has continued to soften my legalistic heart, teaching me more about His grace that has rewritten my story and claimed my identity. I am so excited to share with others the grace of God and everlasting joy that is found only in the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
